During a time of prayer, Rev Festus Akinfemiwa responded to ‘the call’ to provide theological education for Pentecostal/Charismatic/Evangelical clergy. Rev Akinfemiwa organised a meeting on Tuesday, 22 September 2013, with two leading academics and ministers, Rev Dr Emmanuel Sule and Rev Dr Carol Tomlin. Following several formal meetings, the Birmingham School of Theology (BST) was birthed in the heart of the West Midlands. BST hosted its first inaugural seminar on Saturday, 1 November 2014, with a keynote presentation by Professor Anthony Reddie, a leading theologian in the UK, followed by a response from Dr Sule. After prayer, reflection and a shift in personnel, the name changed from BST to Kingdom School of Theology (KST). The kingdom focus and agenda of the School reflect its global mission.
