Rev Dr Sinenhlanhla S. Chisale is a Zimbabwean woman who holds a Doctor of Theology in Practical Theology from University of South Africa; Master of Arts- Sociology (Cumulaude)  from University of South Africa; Master of Theology and Development from University of  Kwa-Zulu Natal. She  is a research fellow at the University of Pretoria, Department of Practical Theology and Mission Studies.   Her research focuses on pastoral care, gender, disability, gender-based violence, Ubuntu, ecology, migration and sexuality. She has published over 30 articles in local and international academic accredited journals and book chapters. She is an Assistant Editor for HTS Theological Journal and International Editorial Board member for Journal of Asian Wisdom and Islamic Behavior (JAWAB). Her current book publications include: Mother Earth, Mother Africa and Theology (co-edited with Rozelle Robson Bosch)  published by AOSIS book publishers (2021) and  Lutheranism in Africa (co-edited with Herbert Moyo) published by Cluster publications.

Chisale is ordained into Ministry of the Word and Sacrament by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southern Africa (ELCSA) and is currently serving as a self-supporting pastor in both ELCSA and Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zimbabwe (ELCZ). Email: [email protected]
