Why Start at the Certificate Level?

The certificate level is the first tier in our programmes and provides you with the foundational framework for the subject of Theological Ministry Studies, especially if you have not studied any aspect of this area before.  

About the Certificate Programme 

All our courses draw on the broad subject areas identified by the following three strands.

The course consists of four core units of 20 and 10 credits, drawing on the relevant strands. 

Unit 1: Foundations of Biblical Studies Strand One  20 credits 
Unit 2:  Introduction to Church History and Early PentecostalismStrand One  20 credits 
Unit 3: Preaching & the Pentecostal/Charismatic ContextStrand One & Two   10 credits 
Unit 4: Significance of Pastoral CareStrand One & Two 10 credits 

APL (Accreditation of Prior Learning)

There are no credits given for APL at the certificate level (Not PG Cert). 

Assessment

The assessment for each unit includes written assignments, such as a theological reflection. Upon completion of the course, an overall mark for the certificate level is given.
